Lenses
Being independent means we’re free to source the best lenses suited to your needs
When it comes to your last pair of glasses, you probably remember what brand they were, or what the frame looked like. But do you remember what type of lenses you chose? Many people pay much more attention to the frames of their new specs than the lenses that go in them – but it’s the lenses that will improve your visual clarity and comfort!
When it comes to lens stocking and supply, all of our practices hold Gold Standard accreditation from world-leading lens brand Essilor. We’ve achieved this because of our level of knowledge and commitment to excellence when it comes to dispensing lenses for our patients, so you can rest assured we’re ideally placed to help you find your new eyewear.
As our practices are all independent rather than part of a corporate chain, we are not tied into any contracts or agreements with particular lens suppliers. We are free to source the best possible lenses for every patient we see, so you know that
we will only ever recommend lenses that we genuinely believe are the best option for you. If you have specific requirements from your eyewear, just let us know and we will be able to accommodate these in the lenses we select for you.
You will also be able to discuss your typical daily activities, lifestyle and preferred hobbies with our team, as these could all affect the type of lenses that would be best for you. If you spend a lot of time working at a computer you might benefit from office lenses, and if you need different prescriptions for near and distance vision, varifocal lenses could be the ideal solution.
If you spend a lot of time outdoors, a photochromic tint could be a useful option to protect your eyes from overexposure to UV light from the sun; you’ll also have the added convenience of not having to swap between normal glasses and sunglasses, as your specs will darken automatically in sunlight.
